The debugger includes traditional features like simple and complex breakpoints, watch windows, and execution control and provides full visibility to device peripherals. The software components contain libraries, source modules, configuration files, source code templates, and documentation. Software components can be generic to support a wide range of devices and applications. You can access related documentation quickly, get context sensitive help for API functions, and use code templates for faster coding. I don't know if something like this qualifies as a bug, or a [un]documented feature, but it does bug me. When in the uV3 IDE, in the 'Files' view of the 'Project Workspace', if I double click on the name of a file that's in my project, and that file is not currently already open in another uV3 edit window , and the edit window is maximized, then the new file opens in 'sized' mode not minimized or maximized, but in between and a whole bunch of other edit windows become visible too.
Is there any way to configure the IDE so that when the edit window is maximized and you open a file to edit, then that file opens in the already maximized edit window? In other words, can you prevent uV3 from changing the edit view from maximized to a bunch of overlapping windows when you open another file to edit? View all questions in Keil forum.

uV3 V3.50b IDE question (opening files...)
I have some very old firmware builds I need to maintain, which were built using uvision3 on windows 7. As windows 7 support is due to end we are migrating to windows Our modern builds using uvision4 are building and running fine. However, when I build the old projects under windows 10 using uvision3 the build succeeds, but won't run.

This has been discussed before, but not recently Has there been any progess in making uv3 not open all its windows when using the -b command line option? It is rather annoying when all you want to do is compile from within emacs and it insists on waisting all that time opening 10s if windows for no reason at all The problem is that its a team of people working on the source, not just me.
