Bloody hell LOL well, i am known for being a fast reader and from time to time, I am also known for devouring a book or two, as well And yeah, i'm devouring these books What a rush.
What a twist. Angsty, palpitating, drama and suspense View all 4 comments. May 25, Carissa rated it really liked it. Lapping up every word. My heart was racing! I felt like I was watching the events on television. Hell, I even stopped just before the halfway point of the book and made some popcorn and got cozy on the couch because at that point, there was no way in Hell I was going to put this book down.
My heart is still racing! Danielle Bourdon what have you done to me? I am usually not a huge fan for non-X rated books. But this series has me hook, line, and sinker! And trust-you-me, I am NOT complaining one lil' bit. The main characters, Sander and Chey, are forced to placed in some very sticky situations and their love and devotion for each other is so beautiful. I cannot stress enough how this book, King and Kingdom , totally sucked me in and I didn't put it down for hours!
And it wasn't because of mere determination that I wanted to finish this book in a six 6 hour period. Oh, no! It was simply because it was just that amazing!! In fact, I am sorry that I am rushing through this particular review but the third book in the series Heir in Exile has just finished downloading and I cannot stand another second to not be reading to find out what will happen next.

He accuses her of coming onto him. Then she is whisked away and sent packing back to Seattle before she has an opportunity to speak with Sander. Chey's best friend, Wynn has been wondering where her friend has been for weeks. When Chey conveys everything that has occurred, Wynn insists they go back to Latvala to "King and Kingdom" is a great follow up to the first book in the Latvala Royals. When Chey conveys everything that has occurred, Wynn insists they go back to Latvala to seek Sander out.
Before they can find him, there is an accident and Chey manages to rescue a child and a man. Sander shows up but they are unable to speak. Soon, Chey is carted away to the dungeon of the castle where the King threatens to have her and Wynn killed in what will look like an accident.
They go back to Seattle. Three weeks later, a broken hearted Chey attends a Holloween party with Wynn. Little does she know but behind the golden mask is Sander and he intends on finding out just what is going on. Once again, this book is chocked full of twists, turns and surprises. I loved every minute of it. I cannot wait to read book three to see just what will happen with Chey and Sander. View all 5 comments. Jul 24, Tati rated it it was ok Shelves: contemporary-realistic.
I know that the backstage of royal family is not exactly flowers and rainbows, but I'm not sure they would stoop that low, honestly. Another thing that bothers me is that I don't think that there is chemistry between Chey and Sander. I don't see sparks flying between them, or any sexual tension for that matter. This makes me a little detached from them: it's a forbidden romance, but there is no chemistry between them.
I'm not that comfortable with the writing style, either. I think this story might be better told from a first-person perspective, rather than the third-person perspective the author chose. Aug 01, Dailyn rated it liked it. This is the second book in this series and I liked it better than the first.
It was nice to see Sander and Chey's romance develop. Although I did find some of the plot twist a little heartbreaking right along with the heroine. This book has a lot of angst in it. Not too many light hearted moments. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series but hope that the story takes a turn to happier times. The writers style is good and it does keep me coming back for more.
I think of this book This is the second book in this series and I liked it better than the first. I think of this book as more like a movie or a soap opera.
